Friends of the Library Booksale Project

Each year, the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library holds two book sales, one in the Spring and another in the Fall, to benefit organizations working for literacy in Tompkins County. Our special partners in this are Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL) and the Finger Lakes Library System (FLLS)

TCPL   FLLS

The number of items available for each sale usually exceeds 250,000. Thanks to our many volunteers, our sales have been extremely successful.

We offer a further thanks to those who donate books and to those who buy them at our sales so that we may continue to support the libraries in our community.

The Friends wish to thank the following community groups for volunteering to help during our Spring sale:

Alpha Phi Omega,
American Association
of University Women,
Cayuga Bird Club,
Challenge Industries,
Cops, Kids & Toys,
Educate the Children,
Habitat For Humanity,
Mental Health Association
of Tompkins County,
Ten Thousand Villages,
Tompkins County Library Foundation,
Tompkins County Public Library Trustees,
Tompkins County Youth Services,
7th Art, and
