Getting into the Sale: If you wish to get in early on any particular Sale day, we suggest you line up early in the morning of that day. First come, first served.
Bringing bags & boxes: Please bring your own reusable bags, boxes or bins. We offer bags & boxes, but they may run out later in the Sale!

Special Sale Days
We have several special sale days which are described below (hover over each of them for more details). If any of them apply to or interest you, make sure to check those days on the Sale Calendar that follows.
Available for those who join the Friends of Tompkins County Public Library at the Book Collector $100-level or above. You must join in advance. Click HERE to make your membership gift. These memberships cannot be shared. You may purchase a total of twenty-five (25) items from the main floor and seven (7) items from Collector’s Corner at each Member
Book enthusiasts 60 & over and those with disabilities that make shopping difficult can shop on "Senior Day" which is the Wednesday
between the 2nd & 3rd weekends, October 20, 10:00am - 4:00pm. Your helper must stay with you and cannot shop separately.
Student Night will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 4:00-8:00pm. Students must be 16 years (or older) & show a current student ID.
On the last Monday of each Sale, every item on the main floor is just a dime! That's just 10¢.
Buy all the books that fit in a standard, reusable grocery bag for only $1 on Bag Day, the last Tuesday of each Sale.
On the Wednesday after the Sale, we welcome the following individuals or groups from Tompkins County to select items for their school or organization, free of charge: teachers, home school teachers, the
clergy, community, and other not-for-profit organizations. Please bring proof of your affiliation with a local not-for-profit organization or a teacher ID.
